The owner and winemaker
- His family has been involved in grape and wine production for generations
- János Németh is the IV. Janos in the Németh family. He was born in 1977 and became the first independent qualified winemaker in his entire family.
- At age 21, he became fully responsible for the whole winery – both growing and production.
- János recieved his degree in Viticulture and Oenology at the Gyönygyösi University.
- Deeply passionate about wines and gastronomy, his delicate senses are essential to his profession.
- Winemaking will be his passion for life.
- As a wine producer, he believes the most important material for producing an excellent product, is the quality of the grape. Therefore he personally looks after his land throughout the year with maximum care, to ensure every plant provides the expected full taste.
- That’s why his cheeks are well tanned in March, when 99% of the country is still pale
- János has been honoured twice with the title of Most Successful Young Winemaker (2008, 2011) at the Szekszárd Regional Wine Competition and is the only person in the region to win the award twice.
- The heart and soul he adds to every sip he makes, has lead to his wines been recognised in countless regional and national competitions.
- As well as an honourable winemaker, he is also the proud father of two boys, Gergő and Vince.
